BRG experts provide sophisticated economic, financial, and analytical advice across a wide range of disciplines including antitrust and competition policy, complex damages, finance, healthcare, intellectual property, restructuring, valuation, and workforce issues. In addition, the firm assists clients in major industry sectors with compliance, business process improvement and strategy consulting.

The Intern position is a temporary position as a member of our consulting staff. This position will work as an entry level staff member for approximately 20 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate the academic calendar.  The Intern will work as part of the BRG group focused on federal (Medicare) and state (Medicaid) healthcare policy and the impact of policy on healthcare businesses. This practice is focused on fast-paced transactional diligence projects.

The Intern will have the opportunity to work directly with expert-level professionals with extensive experience as government policy makers. The position requires an applicant with existing knowledge of healthcare policy, the regulatory process, and the legislative process. This position offers further advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing expert services and consulting firm.


  • Perform detailed research and analysis, then put the results into action

  • Gather, review and summarize literature and data from the public domain 

  • Review and analyze regulations and legislation 

  • Contribute to writing reports analyzing public policy impacts on healthcare businesses 

  • Demonstrate creativity and learn to efficiently use relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions 

  • Gain experience developing and maintaining spreadsheets and other files as dictated by project needs 

  • Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality 

  • Organize project documents; create and maintain hard copy and electronic libraries for documents and retrieve documents from libraries as necessary 

  • Participate in a positive team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations 

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Progression towards a Master's Degree focused on healthcare sector 

  • Must be able available to work approximately 10-20 hours/week 

  • Strong academic record 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of government healthcare programs and the federal and state public policy process 

  • Demonstrate knowledge or experience with healthcare business 

  • Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
