Job Description

This Cost Accountant position will be based in Libertyville, IL as part of the Buffalo Grove IL campus. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate accounting activities and effective financial operation of the below described site functions; implementing appropriate financial accounting procedures to coordinate transactions that comply with legislative & corporate directives. Role will require delivering accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Develop forecast for areas within responsibility interfacing with individuals outside of cost accounting


• Month end close process review


• Balance Sheet reconciliation preparation


• Reviewing actual costs of manufacturing, scrutinizing associated site expenses, and analyzing profitability.


• Develop Variance Analysis Spending (P&L Actuals vs forecast)


• Assist in SOX controls review


• Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, and Inventory transfer policy


• Forecasting and budgeting full site P&L and balance sheet


• Financial reporting

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position


• BS in Accounting or Finance


• Microsoft Office proficiency


• Advanced Excel skill level


• Previous Manufacturing Experience


• Physical inventory experience


• Experience with Accounting ERP system
