As a Commercial Analytics Lead working on the Immuno-Deficiency Plasma Derived Therapies Rare Disease Business Unit, you will be empowered to be strategic and innovative. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission.  A typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:


  • This position will lead the Commercial Analytics for the Immuno-Deficiency Franchise within the US Plasma Derived Therapies Business Unit’s advanced analytics to support current and future commercial objectives. 

  • The Analytics Lead will be accountable for generation, interpretation and extraction of critical insights, strategy creation, and best practices to drive and achieve organizational goals. 

  • Strategically partner with Franchise leadership in identifying innovative methods and approaches that yield differentiating and more impactful outcomes to leverage business opportunities and challenges.  Lead efforts to deliver new analytical tools, measurement approaches and solutions to support deeper insights.

  • Partner closely with Primary MR/CI and analytics lead across IDF and Biotherapeutics Specialty Care Franchise to develop integrated approached to analysis, insight generation and story-telling.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Partner with IDF insight leads in MR/CI and FF analytics, Marketing Leads, Franchise Lead, Commercial Operation & Planning/Forecasting/Finance and other cross-functional partners to identify strategic priorities for the in-line portfolio and lead cross-BU strategic projects as required.

80 % Advanced Analytics and Reporting


  • Leads advanced business analyses to deliver high quality, actionable business insights to commercial leadership

  • Deliver innovative analytics and reporting solutions on commercial products

  • Lead quality control of all analyses from the Insights & Analytics Team

  • Subject matter expert on analytic models used to conduct various analyses

  • Subject matter expert on various health care related data sets, both internal and external

  • Drive collaboration with various internal business and support stakeholders

  • Lead analytics for pipeline products

  • Collaborate with outside vendors when needed

  • Partner with Patient Services, Commercial Data Management, Forecasting and IT to strategically identify best data sources to address business priorities, and build sophisticated, yet effective analytical capabilities to elevate the value of data-driven decision making

  • Solid knowledge and hand-on experience of multiple data sources such as Symphony Claims data, SP/GPO/BD, IQIVIA and good understanding of access and pricing strategies

20% Forecasting


  • Support Forecasting Lead for commercial and pipeline products

  • Review and provide input on the development of forecasts

  • Close collaboration with Finance and Commercial Operations and Planning

  • Collaborate on developing evidence to ground assumptions in facts

  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity development for risks and opportunities with appropriate analysis

  • Maintain knowledge of various data sources and market research reports to identify hidden risks and opportunities

  • Knowledgeable of industry forecasting trends and evaluate if they are appropriate to incorporate into forecast models

  • Knowledgeable to incorporate Primary Market Research insights and CI in building forecast assumptions

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:


  •   Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related subject is required

  • MBA/M.Sc./PharmD an asset

  • Recommended 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, 3+ years of insights and analytics is required.

  • Experience of project management across a range of functions, seniority, and geography

  • Good foundation in understanding of financial planning

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required;  proficiency in Qlik Tools and Tableau, SQL and other advanced analytics tools/software

  • Ability to pick up new systems for information extraction such as Datameer

  • The candidate will proactively deliver advanced analyses to support current and projected commercial products performance, as well as insightful analyses in support of pipeline products.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel as required, ~20%
