JOB LOCATION: Indianola YMCA
HOURS/DAYS SCHEDULE: Weekday late afternoon / evening shifts (4-8 pm), and various weekend shifts.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: November 13, 2020 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will deliver professional customer service and relationship building and sales skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA. They will provide in-depth information in regards to the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, such as memberships, programs, activities and special events. Assist with the attraction and retention of members, including monetary transactions and information for members, participants and guests. This individual will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, attractive, and fun YMCA facility for people of all abilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
Maintains facility appearance and ensure safety measures are in place.
May hand out locker keys and towels; monitors the locker rooms and facility as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
