Our Caleb Brett division is looking for an Account Coordinator to join our Cargo and Analytical Assessment team in Deer Park, TX, and the duties are as listed ( but not limited to ) below:

Responsibilities:


  • On receipt of a request for services, regardless of how received, records the details of the nomination on a Job Order or an equivalent means of documentation, enters each job into a record kept for the purpose, and records a unique identifier.
  • Becomes familiar with the nominating company's agreement(s) / contracts, and communicates with the client or the client's agent in order to obtain detailed instructions and verifies the client's needs, and requests and coordinates further needed communications between the client and the responsible branch location or correspondent.
  • Updates the responsible parties to allow them to organize and schedule the provision of requested services, relays available information supplied of the hazards and other properties of the products dealt with, and communicates among all parties to resolve problems in a responsive manner.
  • Acts as single point of contact for designated clients for all instructions. Maintains good records on closed jobs for purposes of billing, loading and discharge reconciliation, claims handling, etc.
  • Maintains an awareness of the protocols, customs, and sensitivities required in dealing with foreign clients.
  • Maintains a geographic awareness of the Company’s global locations and the ability to access at all hours the necessary personnel and services.
  • Visit clients as needed.
  • Adheres to all Company safety and applicable quality procedures.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Company’s Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Management System, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy

Qualifications


  • The Account Coordinator requires a basic knowledge of petroleum and chemical inspection procedures and world geography.
  • An understanding of the business requirements of the client, relative to the purpose of the inspection services provided, is required.
  • Exposure to the transportation aspects of the oil and chemical industry is essential either prior to, or immediately after, assuming the role of Account Coordinator.
  • Must be able and willing to travel.
  • The ability to retain a calm demeanor while under pressure from circumstances or demands of the client is essential.
  • Necessary attributes are a positive attitude and an ability to work and communicate with persons of diverse cultural backgrounds and sensitivities. Education and experience minimally will include a high school diploma, two years in an inspection company, and knowledge of basic contract etiquette.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to train others in a wide array of subjects.
  • Technically proficient in all matters of inspection operations, including administration, equipment use and calibration, gauging, sampling, temperaturing, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Petroleum, Chemical, and/or Agricultural business.
  • Organized with a high level of attention to detail and a keen ability to perform investigations, ascertain root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience with computers under the MS Windows™ operating environment, including experience with MS Office™ applications.
