Responsibilities

The Production Assembler builds company products such as threading machines, machine accessories and other products while working at a bench or on the shop floor by performing the following duties. 

• Builds/assembles by following specifications and bill of material
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Installs moving parts such as shafts , levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
• Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears and or drives or power transmissions.
• Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates  machines to assist in assembly operation.
• Drills, taps, or reams holes.
• Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
• Uses hand held power tools for assembly.
• Uses computer for data entry of work order.

Requirements

Candidates must be ableto work any shift, have strongmechanical aptitude, lift up to 50 lbs, and function effectively in amanufacturing environment.  Critical performance areas include: Safety,Quality, Teamwork, Communication, Continuous Improvement and Efficiency.

EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE  HighSchool or GED
