Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas while following assigned schedules and specific methods to provide patients, visitors, and staff with a sanitary, orderly, and safe patient care environment. Aides in prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria, odor, and sustaining acceptable aseptic conditions. Prepares and assists as part of our Emergency Response Team. Assists with moves, recycling, and delivery of supplies. Performs duties that involve the removal of trash and biohazard waste.

QUALIFICATIONS

Per Diem - Days

EDUCATION: High School or Equivalent or 3 years experience.

EXPERIENCE: This is an entry-level position. Prior cleaning experience preferred. Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare environment highly preferred. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements: None.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
