Senior Consultant, Cloud Advisory
Responsibilities
As a member of the Coalfire Solutions Engineering – Cloud Advisory team, your work will revolve around the delivery of strategic advisory services and deliverables as it pertains to enterprise infrastructure and security architectures of cloud and containerized environments, as well as CI/CD pipelines. This includes:
Providing enterprise-level advisory for clients on how to achieve security requirements as part of migrations, greenfield builds, and/or existing environments.
Performing maturity gap assessments against client cloud and container environments and CI/CD pipelines,
Developing vision-state architectures and operational models.
Performing cost-benefit-analysis on client options for building, migrating, and/or remediation efforts to achieve vision state requirements.
Developing detailed execution roadmaps for cloud, container, and CI/CD projects (build, migration, and/or remediation) that include detailed requirements, timelines, deliverables/milestones, key considerations, FTE estimates, etc.
As a Senior Consultant on the team, your specific responsibilities in contributing to these deliveries will consist of the following:
Delivery team support, including: identifying process improvements, training Delivery personnel on methodologies / tools and quality topics, and mentoring Delivery personnel.
Developing industry-wide service line thought leadership through:
Authoring: methodologies, templates, whitepapers, work instructions, guidelines, forms, tools, blogs
Developing and delivering industry specific training, including speaking/presenting at conferences, creating webinars
Creating industry consistency and intellectual property for Coalfire products and services
Qualifications
BS or above in related Information Technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years background in strategic IT consulting, including architecture comparative analysis / cost-benefit-analysis, etc.; particularly within the domain of cloud environments.
5+ years of directly relevant systems engineering and architecture experience including requirements definition, architecture development, development of use cases and stories, and systems integration & test; or similar experience in strategic IT consulting in these domains.
5+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations and automation in Azure, AWS and/or GCP (at least one); or similar experience in strategic IT consulting in these domains.
5+ year experience in public speaking / client interfacing situations.
Strong experience with cloud platform capabilities, including excellent understanding of the Cloud Adoption Frameworks.
Deep technical or consultative experience with IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud service models; container lifecycle; application security within CI/CD pipelines; concepts of Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation.
Project management experience for individual and team projects (ability to track detailed tasks and ensure timely delivery)
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective documentation skills, to include technical diagrams and written descriptions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professional attitude and demeanor.
Critical thinking, and ability to balance security requirements with mission needs.
Exampled relationship management and ability to work with C-Suite.
Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment.
Passionate about emerging technology, actively participating in the technical community, including contribution to user groups, presentations, and marketing materials.
