Inventory Control Specialist at Sonoco Products Company in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Perform a variety of inventory and material handling functions that involve computer tasks, physical counts, item identification, and record keeping. Track inventory accuracy and perform cycle/physical inventory counts on all corrugated, outside parts, and customer supplied products and materials. Responsible for inventory counts, reconciliation and root cause analysis of any variances found. Audit staging areas and production lines and reconciles as required. Identifies components without tags and corrects. Identifies errors in quantity, location, or part number, and works to correct both in the warehouse and within the system. Orders materials and customer product in support of production start and on-time customer order shipments. Creates and maintains daily Finite Production Schedule and generates production/rework work orders. Assists warehouse superintendent and Lead Personnel in monitoring material handlers for compliance with safe operation of equipment and storage of materials. Develop initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories and improve inventory turns. Maintains all customer reporting requirements accurately and in a timely manner. Other duties a assigned.
