Your role:

As a Shift Miller, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient production of flour. Monitoring the mill(s) for chokes during the shift. Efficient and effective setting of mill equipment to optimize processing efficiencies and adherence to customer specifications.

Your responsibilities:
- Maximize milling efficiencies in the plant on a daily basis by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment, optimize the mill flow sheet, and solve flow problems.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned including working on plant teams, providing input on capital projects, and center lining.
- Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
- Determine, plan, and execute on mill maintenance items directly related to milling efficiencies such as roll changes, roll issues, sifter work, equipment pm and maintenance. Perform minor repairs and maintenance of milling equipment and other plant equipment.
- Using computers to operate mill process equipment, document production reports, shift reports, including mill and maintenance issues. Fill out work orders, update data in the OEE tool, communicate issues and propose corrective actions. Use SAP to open and close mill process orders.
- Interact with scheduler, elevator, blender, quality team, maintenance, and packer to communicate workflow, milling schedule, and equipment issues.
- Assist as needed within the facility in other areas, including but not limited to feed load-out, bulk load-out and packaging.
- Employee Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality are of equal value to Milling Efficiency when performing the duties of Miller.

Essential skills and experience:
- Must have a HS Diploma or GED.
- Proficient in computer tools including email and spreadsheets.
- Proficient in English both written and verbally.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection.
- Able to work in hot and cold conditions.
- Able to climb stairs and ladders through the work day.
- Able to stand through the entire work day.

Other considerations:
- Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
- Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, Holidays, 7-day weeks, and opposing shifts when needed.
- Must be willing to get cross-trained in at least one other position for development within the facility and to provide any relief duties as needed.
