What You Will Do

As the Demand Planner, you will be responsible assisting with aspects of demand planning corporate-wide. In addition, you will be accountable for forecast accuracy improvements in order to ensure anticipated profitability of the organization is attained.

What You Will Be Responsible For

- Develop and lead centralized production & materials planning organization supporting A.O. Smith N. American manufacturing facilities

- Responsible for RAW, WIP & Finished Goods inventory, ensuring raw materials are available for internal production and finished goods are available for shipment to internal and external customers.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with business partners (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production Planning) to gain insight on sales activities, market trends, and capacity status.

- Develop, aggregate, coordinate and rationalize the statistical forecast with Sales, Marketing, Finance and other stakeholders.

- Ensure adherence to demand planning process by all stakeholders.

- Prepare KPI's, perform analysis of significant disconnects and implement corrective actions.

- Develop, implement, and improve upon strategies for best in class Demand, Production & Materials Planning processes

- Monitor supply and demand misalignment using an advanced planning system

- Collaborate with manufacturing sources to identify problems in supply and materials areas, then implement corrective action.

- Participate in maintaining annual, monthly, and interim demand plans.

- Perform other activities and projects as needed

What You Will Bring

- Bachelors Degree in a Related Field

- Demand Planning & Production Planning in an SAP environment

- APICS Certification preferred

- Experience in a Demand Planning & Production Planning in an SAP environment

- Strong analytical capabilities - Excel, statistical modeling, quantitative analysis

- Strong Communication / influencing skills capable of maintaining positive internal/external relationships
