Senior Manager, Medicare Marketing Management & Communications at Blue Shield of CA in San Diego, California

Job Description:

- Leads team of 5-8 people to create and deliver on Medicare Acquisition Marketing Strategies that meet or exceed business targets.

- Works with peers on Medicare Marketing team to create overall go-to market plans for AEP, OEP and Age-In. Ensure plans deliver on lead and sales objectives.

- Accountable for day to over site of Agency work specific to Marketing and creative strategy, media, and execution with a deep focus on DRTV, DM, Print, Radio.

- Works with Digital team members to ensure creative strategy is in alignment with digital marketing efforts.

- Responsible for ensuring successful Omni-channel Marketing campaign implementations including creative, media planning, budgeted, QA/proofing and production scheduling.

- Works with Brand, Legal, Product and compliance partners to ensure that all Medicare marketing materials are compliant and 100% accurate.

- Works with Director of Digital and Performance management to ensure plans are optimized, using best in class digital principals and historical campaign results.

- Continuously monitors and optimizes campaign performance and works in partnership with Peers to craft timely story around campaign performance for leadership reporting.

- Works together with peers on team, to swiftly to resolve any technical issues or campaign performance challenges.

- Develop and manage a cost and resource efficient solution to supporting our sales partners with selling tools including sales letters, flyers, brochures, and presentations.

- Work with sales to effectively negotiate priorities and balance team workload.

- Actively assesses marketing trends, competitive marketing practices to bring new and creative marketing and communications strategies / tactics with unique messaging, and media to maximize leads and sales.

- Completes marketing campaigns are evaluated and learning outcomes disseminated across the company.

- Manages and maintains budgets within +/-5% of annual spending Responsible for setting operational initiatives and assignments and developing long-term marketing strategies.

- Participates on and/or leads large cross-functional and project teams developing and implementing new marketing strategies, processes and tools. Manages and leads team to support GPTW and develop high performing team.er duties as assigned.

- Proactively seeks to optimize team structure, and balance workload as required.

- Communicates with and presents to all levels of management.

- Manages outside agency partners on a regular basis.

- Requires a BA/BS in business, marketing or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. An MBA is highly desirable. Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10-years + Medicare marketing experience, including 4 years of management experience.

- In-depth knowledge of advanced marketing principles, concepts and techniques including marketing analysis and research tools.

- Ability to independently create and evaluate marketing plans and processes and recommend improvements.

- Excellent ability to direct the delivery of creative the raises the bar on results.

- In-depth knowledge of health insurance industry, products, services, and their financial drivers.

- Demonstrated leadership ability to lead direct reports and/or facilitate major cross-functional marketing or project teams.

- Requires mastery level knowledge of Acquisition Marketing, both traditional and digital preferable in a highly regulated industry and/or healthcare.

- Proven ability to work collaboratively to get more out of Agency Partners.

- Knowledge of legal, brand and regulatory compliance requirements for marketing health insurance plans.

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communications (verbal, written & presentation) skills.

- Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use advance features of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Ability to influence Sr. management, key stakeholders, decision makers and peers.

- Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within an area.

- Has advanced knowledge and skills including technical or functional expertise, business acumen, financial analysis skills, risk management, delegation skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

- Superb executive communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to adapt communication style to audience.

- Demonstrated resiliency and the ability to lead through immense change and uncertainty.

- Adapts well to difficult situations and build trust with others.

- Excels at managing through conflict and demonstrates ability to influence peers to work collaboratively.

- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Works in partnership with team members and our agency to understand root cause of complex issues/problems, and work on an expedited resolution.

- Must function extremely well in a face-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.

- Physical Requirements:
