Evoqua is currently seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Risk & Insurance to work in the Pittsburgh, PA office.

This position will report to the Company's General Counsel. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the organization's global risk management activities (strategy; initiatives; objectives; and policies) while overseeing the mitigation of Evoqua's exposure to insurable risk by formulating, developing, and coordinating claims-related activities, as well as resolving bona fide claims at the least possible cost through various risk transfer techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the corporate risk management department
• Serve as lead in managing relationships with all third-party risk management providers (brokers; insurance carriers; and consultants)
• Evaluates loss analysis; identifies key exposures; recommends mitigation solutions; and implements authorized strategies
• Monitors compliance with global insurance program guidelines and protocols
• Mitigates Evoqua's exposure to risk by formulating strategies and coordinating activities surrounding business insurance claims (workers comp / auto / general liability / property)
• Drives improved claims management performance by operationalizing the design, analysis, and delivery of claims related information (metrics / benchmarking)
• Implements risk program to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and loss forecasting purposes, and estimating the financial value of claims. Also responsible for post loss reduction techniques such as salvage, subrogation and rehabilitation.
• Develops and operationalizes the design, analysis and delivery of claim information which influences risk management behavior through performance metrics and benchmarking.
• Develops & implements a coordinated approach to assessing risks that could materially impact Evoqua's ability to achieve its financial objectives.
• Develops & implements, in conjunction with both internal & external partners, mitigation strategies to improve Evoqua's risk profile.
• Develops & implements an insurance risk transfer strategy to optimize Evoqua's cash flow position.
• Develops & implements, in conjunction with both internal & external partners, targeted loss control activities to minimize accidents / claims involving Evoqua's employees; customers; and assets.
• Embed TCOR (total cost of risk) into the fabric of Evoqua's operations: define /measure / monitor / report.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance; accounting; or management
• 15+ years of experience in either risk management or insurance
• A "high-level" understanding of risk management, insurance and claims handling
• Working toward a strong knowledge of corporate policies and procedures
• Exceptionally organized, efficient, and articulate
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel up to 20% (international & domestic)
