NantKwest (NASDAQ: NK) is a pioneering, next generation, clinical-stage immunotherapy company focused on harnessing the unique power of our immune system using natural killer (NK) cells to treat cancer, infectious diseases and inflammatory diseases. NK cells are the body’s first line of defense due to the innate ability of NK cells to rapidly identify and destroy cells under stress, such as cancer or virally-infected cells.

The IT Desktop Technician for NantKwest is responsible primarily for supporting NantKwest computer users and will be based in Torrey Pines, California.  However, the Technician is part of a Team who supports all NANT users, at all locations and has shared responsibilities same as other Team Members as well; this will include travel to the Los Angeles area.  Support may include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving problems with IT Workstations (both software and hardware), Printers and Peripherals.  The intent of this position will be to provide a high-level customer service experience for NANT computer users, while maintaining the Desktop tools required to meet their business needs.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide attentive technical support to all Employees, Vendors and Physicians associated with NANT companies and locations, with primary focus on NantKwest.

  • Provide technical support by performing installation, repair, upgrades, and preventative maintenance of personal computers and related software/hardware.

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures, and identify network problems as related to personal desktop computers.  Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.

  • Manage and Respond to the request and incident queues within the Helpdesk ticketing system as assigned, including an Inventory Procurement Process, coordinating with Helpdesk Support, and maintaining associated SLAs.

  • Participate in 24x7x365 On-Call Rotation.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Associates Degree or Associated Experience

  • IT Certification Preferred

  • 2+ years supporting Windows XP/Win7/Win10/Mac Desktop environment

  • Experience supporting healthcare and/or research applications is advantageous

  • Working knowledge of system principles, theories, concepts, and technologies

  • Strong organizational and judgment skills

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relations 

  • Practical knowledge of data networks, peripherals and infrastructure cabling

  • Experience with Single Sign-on environments
