Your day
As a PCT / CNA with us, you need to know how to: Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting patients with hygiene care, obtaining vital signs, and communicating constructively, effectively and timely with members of the care team
Perform 12-lead EKG duties commensurate with the level of training received and competency
Apply, check and document restraints as directed by the RN or physician
Perform wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection
Perform equipment and tube care/management e

JP s, hemovacs and nasogastric tubes, and Foley removal
Assist with patient transfers, admissions and discharges as directed and in compliance with the principles of safe patient handling
Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies
Perform the duties of unit secretary
Maintain patient charts, respond to phone calls, maintain daily assignment board, provide equipment care/cleaning, perform errands associated with patient care and provide accurate information about the patient with interdisciplinary team
Assist physicians and RNs as directed
Demonstrate and adhere to the standards of infection prevention
Your experience

But we also expect excellence, which is why we require: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (with prior approval) Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting Your next move
