WHAT YOU'LL DO

The role of the West Coast Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is to lead the Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle office recruiting teams and to drive OneBCG global recruiting efforts. You will be responsible for fulfilling the consulting staff people needs of the West Coast offices. You will work with the Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle Recruiting Managing Director & Partners (RMDPs), Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle Recruiting Directors (RDs), recruiting directors at BCG core schools, and regional recruiting teams to lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline across OneBCG, entry-level core business consulting (Associates and Consultants) from both campus and experienced hire pools, as well as support Experienced Hire, Digital, and Analytics recruiting efforts for the West Coast offices.

Specifically, the TAM teams with West Coast and regional leadership to develop the overall recruiting strategy for the West Coast offices and schools/programs owned by those offices. You are primarily responsible for the implementation of this strategy, in partnership with Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle Recruiting Directors (RDs), and the management of day-to-day operations of the West Coast recruiting departments. To the extent that the recruiting organizational structure and processes require change to ensure that these needs are met, the Talent Acquisition Manager will suggest and implement those changes.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

* Supporting Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle office recruiting strategy development (jointly with Office Leaders (OLs), RMDPs, RDs)

* Managing the Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle office recruiting teams: leading and developing the staff of Talent Acquisition Manager, Lead, Senior Specialists, and Specialists

* Working with Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle local teams and counterparts across the North America region on identifying and deploying best practices, improving recruiting efforts, and identifying synergies and areas for standardization and ultimately driving continuous improvements across the system

* Overseeing office-specific recruiting efforts in support of annual Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle office Consultant and Associate hiring targets:

* Developing candidate pipelines

* [In coordination with rest of global recruiting team] Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from managed schools/programs and formal channels (e.g., online applications, referrals)

* Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from "alternate" / industry / digital sources

* Decision-round interviewing

* Offeree conversion

* Ensuring collaboration and helping local teams to drive BCG-wide recruiting efforts at West Coast-managed schools / programs:

* Creating annual plans

* Developing and overseeing annual budgets

* Candidate marketing, screening, preliminary interviewing, and conversion management

* Managing Experienced Hire, and Digital & Analytics recruiting efforts for Los Angeles, Bay Area and Seattle offices in close coordination with region (by working with executive recruiters, Experienced Hire, Digital, and Analytics recruiting team, and other offices to fill West Coast-office Project Leader, Principal, Expert, and Digital & Analytics positions)

* Developing processes and driving change for new initiatives (e.g., shortening lead time recruiting, ADC recruiting, going deeper at core schools, strengthening presence at local schools, GAMMA/Digital/Analytics recruiting), continuously evolving with the broader Talent Acquisition function

* On-boarding and teaming with West Coast RDs to develop, execute, and evaluate season-specific candidate strategies; specific efforts include:

* Specialist training and engagement

* School-specific candidate targeting activities

* Candidate coaching and feedback, relationship support

* Decision-round candidate selection

* [With RMDPs, OLs] Final candidate offer decisions

* Conversion strategy and Offeree Lead coordination, tracking

* Offeree weekend strategies and execution

* Managing West Coast recruiting cadre training, commitments, and performance tracking processes (selecting and ensuring interviewers are trained, staffing events and interviews with the right mix of consulting staff, ensuring commitments are upheld, manage swap process, etc.)

* Ensuring collaboration West Coast Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, including coordinating and executing of orientation, training, case staffing, performance evaluation, and affiliation events

* Managing annual budget for West Coast office s recruiting and internship activities, with an obligation to closely managing costs and find opportunities to gain efficiency

* Ensuring recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate

* Understanding and enforcing company and function policies, and managing risk

* Building network and liaising with peers in other offices as well as regional recruiting to ensure alignment on all initiatives; actively participating in the Talent Acquisition Office Leads team calls, meetings and joint work
