JOB OPPORTUNITY:

MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST ASCP, ALASKA REGIONAL HOSPITAL

Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques with the aid of automated, semi-automated, and/or manual methodologies. Performs diagnostic procedures and venipuncture as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

* Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or related sciences including a practical training program. Associates degree is acceptable. HHS/HEW must have appropriate years of experience.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

* Need to be certified or registry eligible, by providing documentation of certification within 3 months of hire, in one of the following: ASCP, NCA, AMT. Licensure in a specialty area will be considered.

EXPERIENCE:

* Must complete practical training program.
