Aearo Technologies, LCC - a 3M Company - is a leader in providing engineered system solutions using a wide array of proprietary materials to control excess noise, vibration, shock, and thermal energy. The Newark facility manufactures technologically advanced energy control materials and a portfolio of specialty urethane foams & composites.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sr. Control Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Providing effective control system solutions to a variety of new and existing automated process equipment.
Leading Development and design of control system architecture.
Selecting hardware and providing software to run new process equipment.
Implementing control systems projects (machine installation and commissioning).
Working in a team environment to successfully meet project milestones.
Interact with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment and drive continual improvement.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Three (3) years working with machine control system design and commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Five (5) years of experience working with machine control system design and commissioning
Rockwell Automation - ControlLogix/CompactLogix/GuardLogix PLCs, PowerFlex Drives, Kinetix Motion Servos, Panelview
Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens controls systems and hardware
Experience with automation and/or robotics
Team player with the ability to contribute in a cross-functional environment
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic.
