Aearo Technologies, LCC - a 3M Company - is a leader in providing engineered system solutions using a wide array of proprietary materials to control excess noise, vibration, shock, and thermal energy.  The Newark facility manufactures technologically advanced energy control materials.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing engineering support and services through project organization and execution. Establish and control project spending to budget by specifying and estimating project costs.




• Utilize engineering skills and knowledge of engineering concepts, procedures and methods. This includes equipment/process/facilities design work, definition of capital equipment needs, equipment fabrication, installation, pre-start up safety review, and commissioning.




• Lead Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects




• Provide manufacturing support to new product introductions and in-sourcing products




• Develop and lead programs to improve product and process/quality understanding

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution




• Five (5) years of Process Engineering experience in a private, public, government or military Manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role, although not required include:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems/Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited University




• Demonstrated experience successfully leading projects with cross functional teams




• Experience in web handling, chemical, or converting process applications & technologies




• Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts




• PLC & ladder logic competency




• Track record of integrity and delivering strong business results




• Strong verbal, written communication skills 

Travel: May include up to 10% Domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
