General Summary:
This position will provide leadership to the Engineered Solutions team, delivery partners, and build shops to support the sales growth and profitability of the region’s Services and Solutions business. This individual will ensure consistent processes and tools are utilized for opportunity tracking, proposal generation, and project execution of regional Engineered Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Leads continuous improvement of efficient processes and procedures to provide consistent best in class delivery of Engineering Solutions Group projects.
2.Develops reporting and controls to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan.
3.Responsible for the coordination of Engineering Solutions Group team members and supplier resources to successfully deliver Services and Solutions projects.
4.Ensures proper creation of Value Add and sales orders in the business system and communicates hardware delivery schedules and updates to internal Project Engineers and/or external build partners.
5.Closes all Engineering Solutions Group projects in the business system and maintains accurate internal reporting.
6.Identifies and resolves issues related to Engineering Solutions Group’s ease of doing business.
7.Maintains list of approved solution partners, including build shops and services suppliers.
8.Leads and influences the performance of team employees. Supports employee growth and development program to meet employee and department goals.Actively listens and supports employee concerns.Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of new employees, coaches and counsels employees, and conducts annual performance evaluations.Schedules and conducts periodic team meetings.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1.Bachelor’s degree required.
2.5+ years of product, sales, technical and/or customer service experience within the Electrical distribution industry; additional professional experience will be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
3.Effective interpersonal skills, ability to convey technical and business matters in a clear and logical manner both verbally and in writing.
4.High level of product knowledge of the key vendors delivered by McNaughton-McKay.
5.Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools as well as McNaughton-McKay’s business systems.
6.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
7.Experience building relationships and providing effective and timely solutions to clients through exceptional customer service.

Direct Reports: Solutions Coordinator, Project Engineer, Associate Project Engineer.
