Position Summary:

Mechanical Engineering co-op students to work in various engineering departments at Power Transmission Solutions. Departments include Engineering Lab (R&D), Product Engineering, Application Engineering and New Product Development Engineering. Students will be exposed to all aspects of design, development, validation, implementation and manufacturing of Power Transmission Solutions products. Responsibilities and workload will grow over time to include running all aspects of large projects.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products to meet customer needs.
  
  


• Analyzes new technologies and market assessments using existing basic analytical tools and methods to improve existing designs and expand existing product lines.
  
  


• Assists in solving routine problems with an aptitude for basic problem-solving skills.
  
  


• Leads portions of routine analysis projects.
  
  


• Specifies basic design parameters, validates according to existing standards, and prepares required documentation.
  
  


• Supports New Product Development, Application Engineering, and Product Engineering projects.
  
  


• Supports analysis on tested bearings and components but also other PTS products as required.
  
  


• Supports product analysis after NPD testing or benchmark testing.
  
  


• Assist in the design of test machines and procedures of nonstandard testing.
  
  


• Follow Regal Ethics and Safety Programs.
  
  


• Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
  
  


• Adhere to all export, import and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position.
  
  


• Perform other assignments as assigned.
  
  

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• 
  Education: Currently enrolled in undergrad or master's degree in Engineering, BSME, BSMET, BSAE or Mat Eng. Complete minimum of 30 credit hours towards degree/complete freshman year.
