LEAD HOMECARE SCHEDULER

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Center Manager and/or Home Care Manager, the Lead, is responsible for scheduling home care services as approved by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). The Lead Homecare Scheduler is responsible for verifying and confirming schedules with participants, staff and team members and verifying that home care visits are made

Knowledge, skills and Abilities:

·      An Associate Degree in business or related field with one year of experience scheduling home health staff or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Scheduling experience in the home care staffing industry is preferred. Experience with scheduling software is required.

·      Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients, must thrive in team environment, possess good organizational and supervisory skills, and have the ability to effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE Semi and approved by CMS.

·      Ability to effectively communicate with internal/external customers both in writing and orally.

·      Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office and Outlook.

·      Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to multi-task

·      Strong math aptitude.

·      Detail oriented

·      General office skills – phone system, copier, fax, adding machine

·      Impeccable follow-up skills

·      Fast paced environment, requiring flexibility and ability to work under pressure.   

·      Possible exposure to communicable disease.
