As an Associate on the Startup Banking Operations team, you will play a critical role on a diverse and fast-paced team that is tasked with operationalizing the go-to-market strategy for Startup Banking and optimizing business performance. You will partner closely with Startup Banking Leadership and an array of internal teams from data analytics to marketing to help deliver our products and services efficiently and effectively to the market. You will also play a vital role in supporting the development of our overall strategic initiatives and ongoing continuous improvement efforts. As an Associate, you will be responsible for generating analyses, thinking critically, developing recommendations, and implementing strategic initiatives.

Assist with scoping and planning efforts for initiatives, including development of scoping analyses and creation of workplans
Support definition and structuring of Startup Banking business problems
Lead completion of diagnostic analyses (interviews, data analysis, workshops, etc.) to assist business and functional unit leadership in defining current state / baseline performance and identifying root causes of problems
Assess and redesign processes, targeting improvement in client, team, operational efficiency, quality and financial performance
Use analytical insights to identify and recommend creative ways to improve our client experience and operating performance
Develop fact-based recommendations to assist the Startup Banking Operations team with strategic and operating decisions
Assist with preparation of implementation and activation plans to achieve target state, including ongoing monitoring of desired impact
Develop training materials and support facilitation of training for Startup Banking team
Contribute to maintenance and administration of Startup Banking internal knowledge base
Assist with preparation for leadership meetings
Partner and build strong relationships across SVB to facilitate impact of initiatives and improve Startup Banking performance
Develops fact-based recommendations to assist Startup Banking Operations team with strategic and operating decisions
Occasionally makes recommendations that require approval; does not make impactful decisions that do not require approval. Routinely follows defined process.
Data analysis - Collect, transform, analyze, and synthesize large data sets in a variety of formats (Excel, Tableau, SQL) to deliver actionable insights efficiently and effectively

Bachelor's Degree with demonstrated technical/analytical coursework
2 or more years of experience in management consulting, business analysis, operations or similar role
Bachelor's Degree with major in technical/analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, Mathematics, Finance, etc.) with strong academic record
Demonstration of personal and professional achievement (e.g., Awards, Honors, Scholarships, etc.)
2 or more years of experience in consulting, business analysis, operations or similar role in financial services
Experience and network in the tech startup ecosystem a plus
