Position summary:

This is a highly visible and high impact role, you will lead a product management team to build and bring to market our next generation products that are poised to revolutionize the application delivery services market.

This position will lead a team of product managers to:


  • Formulate product strategy and roadmap that delivers on F5 mission and business goals


  • Define problem statements and product requirements with transparency and rigor


  • Design and prioritize features of a product area using data to take in consideration of market trends and customer needs


  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver new features with velocity


  • Make data-based priority and trade-off decisions to ensure successful product launches on time and with quality


  • Drive revenue and adoption metrics for the product area owned


  • Evangelize features internally and externally to ensure users benefit and derive value from the products we build


  • Build a highly inclusive and collaborative community that takes pride in making each other successful


Primary responsibilities:


  • Define revenue goals and frame the product vision, roadmap to achieve the objectives


  • Deliver differentiated products that in alignment with market trends and delight customers


  • Lead solution planning, prioritization and setting up the execution direction of engineering teams


  • Collaborate across sales, marketing and other functional teams to drive GTM activities


  • Coach, mentor and enable the success of a highly performing team of individual product managers and product owners


  • Engage with customers to drive adoption of products


  • Lead cross functional teams in agile ways of working


Required skills experience and qualifications:


  • “Can do” attitude and passion to make customers and colleagues successful


  • Passion for leading teams and contributing to the career development of individuals


  • Ownership mentality with the natural inclinations to take challenges head on and deliver impact


  • Proven track record as a product manager with experience in B2B software/SaaS products


  • Demonstrated ability working across engineering, sales, engineering, legal, customer success, marketing etc.


  • Ability to straddle across strategy, technical depth and execution in product delivery


  • Analytically minded. Strong bias towards data driven decision making mentality


  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills


  • Solid understanding of networking, application delivery and application security concepts


  • Minimum of a Bachelors in engineering required. Graduate degree in science, engineering or business is a plus


  • 10+ experience in product management with expertise in building and delivering software/SaaS products
