• Evaluate, select and foster ongoing relationships with external transport providers.


• Using limited knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, make recommendations to establish good customer relations.


• Analyze and project transportation costs, coordinating customs clearances and permits.


• Provide distribution, transportation and logistical solutions on inbound or outbound movement of raw material and/or finished product from origin to destination.


• Perform data entry updates using spreadsheets and databases based on sales orders/contracts, etc., providing data to more senior team members for further analysis.


• You will work under direct supervision and handle basic issues and problems, while referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.


• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain management OR four years of equivalent working experience


• Four years of Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, inventory management, logistics or customer service experience.


• Proficient using Microsoft Office, including Excel


• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as needed

• Experience in freight forwarding and/or customs clearance.


• Knowledge of Incoterms.


• Knowledge of SAP and GT Nexus.


• Five years Transportation Management or Supply Chain Management experience


• Experience working in a Transportation Management System


• Understanding full truck load transportation


• Carrier management experience
