Client Support Representative - Willowbrook at Wintrust Financial Corporation in Willowbrook, Illinois

Job Description:

Responsible for the customer experience by providing high touch support to Commercial clients by serving as a liaison between internal contacts such as Loan Ops, Treasury Management and Deposit Operations. Provides Administrative Support for 3-5 Lenders on more complex portfolios within a specific market.


  • Handle daily customer requests via phone and/or system such as account opening, balance inquiries, wire processing. Perform advances, transfers, payoffs and pay downs on loans. Good understanding of Bank's Policy and regulatory requirements such as the Patriot Act and Regs , E, O, U, etc.

  • Troubleshoot and investigate complex or non-standard customer issues and onboard high value new clients.

  • Support Relationship Managers by answering calls, preparing packages, ensuring all vendor invoices are paid in a timely manner and gathering information to resolve issues or complete projects. Responsible for balancing lenders' loan expense accounts.

  • Provide back to Commercial Loan Closer with loan due diligence such as searches, flood determination and corporate documents.


  • Experience: 5-7 years experience providing C&I or CRE customer and loan support required.

  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various customer issues, and prioritize work.

  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Knowledge of commercial lending business and an excellent command of the English language.

  • Knowledge of banking concepts, practices, and procedures especially as it relates to commercial lending.

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, email and database software.

  • Work requires basic loan documentation and Treasury Management product knowledge.
