Family Support Worker/Visitation Specialist
Family Support Workers help clients to meet basic needs that can help facilitate the forward progress of their case. A FSW may be assigned to assist clients in accessing community resources (such as employment and housing, rent assistance, treatment programs, transportation, etc), budgeting, scheduling, parenting skills, setting up and attending appointments, etc. FSW also provide visitation supervision for clients and their children. During visits between a child / youth and parent, trained staff will teach, coach, and role model with appropriate parenting skills and activities.

Target Population

The target population is any adult, child, or juvenile involved with Department of Health and Human Services.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work/Human Services/Counseling/Psychology/Criminal Justice/Teaching Related Field(other BA/BS degrees accepted if applicant has experience in the field)
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet required deadlines
• Ability and desire to work with diverse populations
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Must have valid auto liability insurance
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when families can be together
• Part-Time work is available
• Flexible starting with Parenting Time/Visitation Specialist hours
