Job Description:

Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods, customer requirements and flow. I nvolved in the design of manufacturing processes. Once the process is in place, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing/maintaining tools and techniques for the process owner as well as continually improving the process. The process of continuous improvement requires the Manufacturing Engineer to continually find ways to improve safety, cost, quality and delivery, which lead to a better product and reductions in the cost of producing the product.

• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting Kaizen events; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors, plant engineering and operators.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assures product and process quality by establishing standards; confirming and improving manufacturing processes.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
