Job Description:

YOUR MISSION:

Leader of the Product Development Team (PDT) cross-functional team, foundation of manufacturing, product and revenue for global strategies and responsible for P & L (Profit and Loss).

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Communication/Leadership
- Builds positive relationship with customers.
- Strengthens teamwork with internal and external development teams.
- Builds trust with all members.
- Leads internal and external PDT and related meetings
- Leads / coordinates Gate process.
Program Management Execution
- Plans and develops methods, procedures and timing for implementation of assigned new product launches according to PLS (Product Launch System) / G-PMP (Global Project Management Process.)
- Manages the development and implementation process of the company's products involving department and cross-functional teams focusing on the delivery of new or existing products.
- Works closely with Sales, Design Engineering, and New Product Launch teams to provide consistency on communicating commitments to the customer.
- Plans and directs schedules and budgets monitoring the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Works with all departments and holds accountable all participating individuals to the successful execution of projects.
- Responsible for ensuring all key program milestones are ready for execution and happen according to program timing and established procedures.
- Provides leadership and direction for the various Project Teams and customer project teams.
- Maintains summary program status charts and documentation. Supports any \\"red\\" items with root cause explanation and recovery plans.
Financial Management
- Develops cost models and simulates local and Global P/L models.
- Develops costs for Engineering and related Change Requests from customer.
- Tracks / oversees Engineering expenditures related to Project.
- Has clear understanding of Product Profitability Contributors.
- Drives for ITAKONA (VA/VE) opportunity, while ensuring closure.
- Evaluates and pursues cost Improvements (OH, Labor and Development).
- Understands and investigates other key cost contributors (Sales / Penetration Rates).
- Assists in Business Plan and Mid Term Plan Budget Development.
Organizational
- Maintains current documentation related to projects.
- Open issues, Program Timing, Key Contacts, Engineering Change History, Tooling Details, Cost Data (BOM / E and C Grades), Development Parts /Delivery Schedule, Customer Delivery Agreements, DPIM Materials.

MUST-HAVES:

- Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering or related degree required.
- Master's degree highly preferred
- Minimum of seven (7) years of program management or related experience in engineering or manufacturing industry required.
- Specific experience in automotive electronics preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion through effective communication and relationship building
- Proven technical systems understanding of overall Automotive Electronics product development through to quality and warranty of a product
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
