Sales Manager

San Diego, California

Your tasks

- Develop and implement a successful sales strategy to align with corporate goals and achieve objectives.

- Analyze and monitor sales forecast activity and profit margin performance and make the necessary changes in a timely manner to achieve goals consistent with Region and Company objectives.

- Create action plans to penetrate new markets and cultivate customer relationships. Take a primary role in the sales efforts to acquire key prospects and secure the order.

- Support critical customer situations and liaison with Service and Application staff to obtain the best solutions to maintain customer loyalty and satisfaction.

- Establish professional relationships within the industry and partner with customers to further understand and anticipate their needs.

- Maintain a high level of motivation and positive attitude in the assigned region promoting a strong self-image and willingness to work together.

- Prepare periodic sales reports showing volume and performance in the region. Complete other reporting duties consistent with Sales Manager position.

- Conduct seminars and attend trade shows promoting GF Machining Solutions as the leader in EDM/Milling/CSB industries.

- National and international travel to GF Machining Solutions locations, trade shows and customers is required on a regular basis to cultivate internal and external relationships.

Your profile

- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in sales or business; and four to six years related milling and/or EDM sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Prior experience in the machining tool industry required.

- Prior management experience preferably in an engineering, aerospace, and/or machine tool sales environment.

- Knowledge and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word and Power Point.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger and handle; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position will require the employee to regularly travel to customer sites, trade shows or other company locations domestically and internationally.

- Knowledge and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word and Power Point.

- Must possess a valid driver's license.
