Senior Inventive Scientist in AT&T Labs – Network Analytics and Automation

Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field from an accredited university, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Degree in a relevant technical field, including but not exclusive to: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, and Mathematics.

Required Qualifications- Hands-on experience and proficiency in the some of the following programming languages: C/C++, CUDA, Python, JavaScript, shell scripting, etc.
- In depth knowledge of fundamental computer science algorithms and data structures. Critical thinking in terms of trade-offs between computation complexity vs. memory usage.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in calculus, linear algebra and parallel vectorized computation (Scikit-Learn, Numpy, etc. )
- Big-data manipulation, preparation and pipelining including experience with Database Management Systems.
- Strong initiative, communication skills and the ability to conduct independent research, to build an initial prototype, and to benchmark/present findings.
- - Established aptitude for network architecture, software prototyping and development, data science, AI and software systems as demonstrated through software platforms, algorithms, open source contributions, and internship experience.
- - A demonstrated ability to operate independently, with minimal oversight, and proven experience in collaborative work environments with external customers.

Preferred Qualifications
- Design and implement end-to-end solutions using Machine Learning, Optimization, and other advanced computer science technologies, and own live deployments.
- Expertise in specialized areas such as Optimization, NLP, Reinforcement Learning, Probabilistic Inference, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems.
- Experience with frameworks for Machine Learning (Scikit-Learn, Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc. )
- Large scale data-visualization (WebGL, DeckGL, etc. )
