Feed Mill Manager

Summary:

Our member owner is looking to hire a production focused feed mill manager. The feed mill manager is responsible for directing the daily operations the entire feed manufacturing and delivery process and for producing and del ivering high quality feed.

Location: Owen, WI

Job Duties:

Manage daily operations:

• Hours of operation


• Make sure procedures are followed to produce a quality product


• Ensure efficiency and maximize production


• Manage production and delivery staff


• Assist in dispatching delivery drivers

Manage safety records:

• Confined Space Entry


• Lock out/Tag out


• Hot Work Permits


• Maintenance Logs

Safety Conscious:

• Create awareness of safety procedures


• Create a culture of safety

Manage feed quality:

• Oversee sampling and testing of incoming ingredients


• Monitor production and quality of finished product


• Monitor inventory

Equipment Maintenance:

• Oversee maintenance of equipment


• Document repairs


• Work with contractors on large repairs


• Work with in house shop to keep trucks well maintained

Detail oriented paperwork:

• Maintain production records


• Oversee inventory on medicated ingredients

Loading/Unloading trucks:

• Site Cleanliness


• ensure wights are recorded and BOL's are collected


• Maintain tracking of loads delivered

Requirements :

• A bachelor's degree in business management, agriculture or related field


• T hree to five years of experi ence in feed mill management


• E xemplary attention to detail, leadership, organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal, commu nication and analytical skills
