What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Manage and lead a team of inside sales representatives to successfully assist in growing revenue by generating qualified leads, contacting dormant accounts and managing a customer book of business

  • Lead the team to deliver revenue goals by determining daily, weekly and monthly targets in support of operating objectives

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Learning and Development and Marketing to test, measure and execute

  • Develop metrics, reporting and analytics to increase team performance and output; coach and motivate team members to reach objectives

  • Build strong relationships with key sales leaders, including Regional and National Vice Presidents

  • Manage and lead outside vendors to increase capacity, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Develop a strategy that consistently increases the sales pipeline, won/lost and realization performance

  • Implement and leverage inside selling tools, technology and processes to deliver results


What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree, 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience

  • 5 years of sales experience

  • Experience as a sales manager or in a leadership role


It'd be great if you also have:

  • 3 years of inside sales leadership or managerial experience

  • Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM experience

  • Experience in the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) transportation industry

  • Experience building sales teams, growing sales and leadership skills within the team, consistently delivering on revenue goals/quotas, developing and executing inside sales strategy

  • Experience in customer-facing jobs such as sales, sales support, customer service, etc.

  • Experience reaching or exceeding sales goals and objectives

  • Knowledge of general business practices related to sales and experience using data to make decisions
