An exciting opportunity to join a New York health system as their RN Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager over the Oncology and Hematology Center is now available. This opportunity is open to individuals with inpatient or outpatient oncology experience! 

This 400+ bed acute care hospital is located in the greater New York area, recognized for their medical surgical, cardiac ICU, and onsite emergency department. This acute care hospital offers a specialized Oncology and Hematology Center, focused on delivering treatment for an array of cancers including breast, head and neck, myeloma, lymphoma, leukemia, lung, brain, genitourinary tract (prostate, ovaries, uterus, kidney, bladder, cervix, testicles), and gastrointestinal tract (colon, rectum, pancreas, stomach, esophagus, and liver). Through targeted therapy, immune therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, several ongoing clinical trials and continuous cancer research studies, this facility focuses on delivering innovative cancer care programs and opportunities to patients throughout the community. Additionally, the Oncology and Hematology Cancer Center offers observational services, support groups, palliative care, and hospice options. 

Reporting to the Director of the Oncology and Hematology Center, the RN Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will be accountable for administrative responsibilities including scheduling, payroll, developing educational programs for both patients and staff, assisting to develop patient care plans, and working as an advocate and liaison between the clinical team, patients, and families. The ideal RN Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will have a recent clinical oncology background working in either an inpatient or outpatient setting, have or willing to obtain their ONS and OCN certification, have strong communication skills and is up to date with best practices and techniques.
