Working as a Finance Coordinator at Acelero Learning gives you the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Finance and the Support Center team to maintain the organizational finance system in accordance with Federal and State regulations. You will effectively track all funds received by the agency and process all accounts payable and receivable; and you will ensure fiscal integrity and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and OMB circulars through the implementation of sound internal controls and adherence with fiscal policies and procedures.

To be successful and to thrive in this role, you should have strong attention to detail and excellent computer literacy, word processing and internet navigation that encompass effective practices in the following areas :


  • Ensure that all reports and records are maintained accurately and promptly. Maintain proper documentation of all expenditures for reimbursements, petty cash, and purchase orders (e.g. receipts).
  • Maintain fiscal documentation files for all required monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Provide fiscal data to the Finance team to prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Compile documentation for all audits. - Forward accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records to the Finance team for processing and track processing.
  • Assist with semi-monthly review and bi-weekly Accounts Payable review.
  • Assist in preparation of agency budgets prior to submission of individual program grant applications. Maintain documentation of all insurance (e.g. liability).
  • Review and understand all grant requirements (e.g. NJ Dept. of Education - Abbott, NJ Dept. of Human Services - Wraparound, Head Start, etc.).

This position is required to work onsite to meet the needs of our organization and the community we serve.

All you need now is the passion for achieving positive child and family outcomes through high-quality family engagement together with an Associate's, Bachelor's Degree preferred , prior experience with Finance, detailed knowledge of intermediate functions of Microsoft Excel (e.g. creating formulas, pivot tables, etc.); and an eagerness to adopt our values: Embracing Diversity, Teamwork & Community, Data-Informed Learning, Open Communication, and Follow-Through .
