Position Summary

ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. has a career opportunity for a State and Local Tax Manager.  This position oversees multi state and local filings, working from the Corporate Accounting Department. Under the direction of ownership, this role requires collaborating with other members from multiple U.S. and Canadian satellite locations to ensure accurate and timely filings.  The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, and assist in gathering the information necessary to prepare all tax returns. You will also assist in resolving tax issues with taxing authorities, providing tax support to internal resources, and researching ad-hoc tax issues.  This manager level role will need to take ownership of their assigned areas. This is a full-time, exempt position, with a generous Benefits package.

Essential Functions

• Compile information and prepare supporting work papers for Federal, state, and local income tax returns.


• Prepare and timely file property tax, gross receipts tax, sales & use tax, IFTA and numerous other tax returns.


• Assist with responding to tax inquiries from various jurisdictions.


• Research tax technical issues and analyze current tax developments.


• Provide tax support to internal customers.


• Any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Business preferred


• Over 3 years of filing experience


• C Corp, S Corp and Partnership experience a plus


• Ability to thrive in a challenging, demanding, and rapidly growing environment


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite


• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills


• Work with internal and external resources


• Ability to meet assigned deadlines


• Must be very detail oriented
