WE ARE LOOKING FOR COUNSELORS FOR OUR RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT UNITS

Do you have what it takes to change the life of children and families in need?

St. Vincent's Villa has openings for compassionate, professional, reliable, organized, and patient individuals willing to assist children with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties in our residential treatment setting.  We are located on a beautiful Timonium campus.

Teach life skills:  Assist children with activities of daily life: getting ready for school, completing homework, and participating in group activities

Encourage and model appropriate interactions and behaviors:  Our staff will assist with emotional outbursts associated with abuse and trauma, including behaviors such as aggression, defiance, and self- harm. We provide robust training in areas including crisis intervention, emotional and behavioral support, trauma informed cared, the CARE model, and mental health treatment/interventions.

Ensure health & safety:  Join us in creating positive, therapeutic, and safe environments which allow children to begin to heal and learn new strategies for a successful return to the community.  Candidates with a solid understanding of trauma informed care are preferred.  

Requirements:

The Residential Child Care Counselor requires high school diploma and some experience is preferred.  Must have Maryland driver's license with no more than three (3) points.

The Residential Treatment Counselor requires a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field and experience with special needs populations is preferred.  Must have Maryland driver's license with no more than three (3) points.

The Residential Treatment Counselor II positions require a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field and one year of experience with special needs populations. Must have Maryland driver's license with no more than three (3) points.
