JOB SUMMARY:


The Business System Analyst’s role is to define and document the business process flow and operational requirements of the residential real estate lending division, and then coordinate between system vendors, the Bank’s IT staff and the residential lending division employees to ensure that appropriate system applications and tools are being fully utilized to achieve maximum department efficiency.  Consistently gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial related discipline required.

  • Master’s degree in a financial related discipline preferred.

  • 3-5 years’ experience and/or training as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, preferably in residential lending.

  • 1+ years of project management experience preferred.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • PC Proficiency in Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.

  • Knowledge of SQL Database software, project management software, and Residential Loan Production software preferred.

 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Consults with residential lending division management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.

  • Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems.

  • Consults and coordinates with systems analysts and programmers to design and develop automated business systems.

  • Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.

  • Consults with business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives.

  • Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs.

  • Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.

  • Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

  • Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.

  • Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residential lending division personnel, software vendors and IT department staff.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to mortgage origination and sales activity such as pricing discounts, premiums, interest rates and margins, commissions and gain/loss on loan sale activity.

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
