SUMMARY

Responsible for identifying strategic and tactical activities for IT enterprise enhancements and sustainment. Assists in IM/IT analysis and prioritizing initiatives, development, and integration efforts to eliminate redundancy and align capabilities. Supports identifying, validating, coordinating, and managing IT Requirements supporting IT Service delivery and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:


  • Support the development of cross functional or large-scale automated information systems to include enterprise architectures.
  • Design systems to include software license maintenance/management, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements that provides for present and future cross functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance and perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs.
  • Responsible for Enterprise Architect support in the following areas:

    • Chief Information Officer policy, governance, strategic planning, mission analysis & related CIO activities
    • Army Intelligence & DoDIIS strategic, operational & tactical capabilities & requirements
    • Army/DoD IT management reform & transformation, data center consolidation, enterprise services implementation
    • Army/DoD IM/IT enterprise architecture, systems engineering, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application & data management
    • Army/DoD/ Industry IM/IT standards, technologies & developments
    • Army/DoD/Federal IT legal & regulatory compliance requirements
    • Army/DoD/IC TMT task & data call requirements
    • IM/IT capital planning, programming and investment alignment with strategic objectives
    • APMS & ADCCP compliance, ITAS & ARFIT-MI approvals
    • IT acquisition policies, procedures & approval processes
    • Asset & portfolio management, enterprise IT hardware lifecycle replacement.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Position may include supervisory and/or management authority/mentoring of junior personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • A BA/BS in technology related field is required; ten years' experience as an IT Systems Architect or Engineer can be substituted for the degree.
  • Six years' experience in Project Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering is required; 10 years' experience is preferred.
  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI is required
  • U.S. Army Officer Signal Corps experience considered a big plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge of Federal government contracts and programs
  • Must have good analytical skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and highly effective organizational skills
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing environment
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
