Essential Responsibilities:
Resideo is currently seeking a Product Specialist to support our Software Product Management team with their portfolio and its lifecycle and roadmap. Offering scope of the Product Specialist will evolve into developing solution sets that include software services, value added offerings, business model evolution and end-to-end customer experience management.
The Product Specialist will provide input in all aspects of software product lifecycle management for the business, while being mindful of how the software and hardware complement each other. This includes the following: develop, manage, and implement software/product/customer and marketing strategies and programs, new software development and introduction (NPI), value propositions, pricing, standard work, commercial launches, etc. Key performance metrics of the Product Specialist role include (but not limited to) revenue growth, standard gross margin, and EBITDA.
Job Duties:
o Drive new features and improvements as they relate to software and hardware
o Manage regular software releases (ongoing/as needed)
o Manage software defect priority and resolution
o SIOP reports (monthly)
o AOP (annual)
o Gain knowledge and understanding of hardware portfolio
o Drive to meet AOP revenue goals- Identify gaps (ongoing)
o Drive attach rates for subscription offerings (as needed)
o Educate Channel Marketing team on NPI value propositions
o Support the Marcomm team in the creation of product support materials and promotions
o Respond to field/customer concerns
o Maintain product and technology roadmaps
o Identify value-added solutions
o Leverage technologies
o Maximize opportunities\\Strategic planning
o Develop software marketing requirements (MRD) coupled with hardware
o PRD review and negotiations with engineering
o NPI process compliance
o Work with NPI development teams
o Launch with Channel/Marcom teams
o Meet financial say/do goals (first 6-12 months)
o Competitive analysis
o Market data
o Voice of Customer / Voice of Sales
o Technology Trends
