Serving as a mentor to the surgical services staff nurses, the CRNA must be readily available to provide their expertise and knowledge to any pressing or critical situations. Tasked with the responsibility of ensuring each patient is being provided with only the highest-quality care, the CRNA must encourage continuous education and enforce the hospital’s rules and regulations. Acting as role model within the department, the CRNA must be able to remain calm when faced with critical situations presented within the department. Ensuring each patient and their family members are treated with the upmost respect, the CRNA must have strong social skills and maintain an open line of communication between patients and the clinical staff within the department.
