The Transportation Technologies team provides the transportation industry with the confidence that its products and services meet required safety and quality standards. The team’s services cover all aspects of clients’ needs from advisory, auditing, certification and inspection to outsourcing, quality assurance, testing, training and more.

The HSE Coordinator will support the Transportation Technologies business by providing being responsible for coordinating the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy in assigned location(s)/region(s).

We’re looking for someone with the a bility to collaborate with others in a team based environment and maintain a high degree of personal credibility.

DUTIES

• Work with the Manager, HSE to implement HSE strategy for assigned location(s), region(s) or business line(s).


• Identify appropriate HSE improvements to the HSE Manager and/or Director, in order to drive continuous improvement within the business.


• Provide input to the HSE Manager and/or Director on administrative and policy aspects of the HSE Program.


• Work with management teams to properly implement HSE policies.


• Monitor and participate in internal and external audits of HSE programs.


• Provide HSE advice and support those within area of responsibility.


• Lead and participate in HSE related meetings.


• Provide safety related training.


• Investigate work-related injuries, near miss events, and provide recommendation(s) for prevention.


• Work with the Human Resources Department to address corrective action for post-accident incidents.


• Perform other work as required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in a directly comparable role
• Excellent interpersonal, listening and verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to promote effective working relationships at all levels and create a positive work environment
• Ability to manage by influence.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team based environment and maintain a high degree of personal credibility.
• Responsible for the coordination of business led solutions while driving the HSE agenda.
• Ability to work within the business and apply HSE solutions within the particular business context.
• Requires excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to conduct HSE business across multiple time zones.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office software and database tracking programs.
