Shipping Associate - 2nd Shift at EG Industries in Circleville, Ohio

 Position Summary

To coordinate all shipments daily, creating shipping documents and picklists within PLEX system. Schedule shipments/trucks as needed and communicate with customers, carriers, production scheduling and PPC to insure adequate flow of communication to all departments daily.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate material shortages daily to PPC and manufacturing


• Coordinate all shipments daily


• Schedule shipments and trucks as needed to meet delivery schedules


• Communicate issues with customers, carriers, scheduling and PPC


• Backup shipper/receivers as needed


• Create shipping documents and pick lists

Decision Making Authority

•  Commitment to customers for on-time parts delivery


• Coordination and scheduling of all shipments 
  

Required Competencies, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred 

Preferred Skills

• Basic working knowledge of computers


• Excellent communication skills; both written and oral


• Basic math skills and ability to work well with others


• Two to three years automotive customer service experience


• Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets


• Experience with PLEX, MRP systems is beneficial 
  

Work Environment and Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to bend 5%


• Ability to twist 5%


• Ability to stand for long periods of time 5%


• Bend, twist and standing will only be necessary when needed to assist Shipper/Receiver


• Ability to lift to 40 lbs.


• Ability to work overtime and do minimal travel on short notice


• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office


• Knowledgeable in PLEX system
