Job Description:

This position is for a professional individual with an energetic and enthusiastic personality with excellent public speaking/presentation skills to manage and lead a regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program in Southwest Florida. The individual must be outgoing, a quick learner, and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.

What is the Regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Program?

The Southwest Florida Regional TDM Program is branded as Commute Connector (www.swflroads.com/commute-connector). The intent of this Program is to promote and educate the public about alternative commute modes (ex. vanpooling, public transportation, bicycling, etc.) in Southwest Florida.This job can be filled and performed in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Lakeland, Bartow or Ft. Myers

This exciting position will involve the following:

• Program/Project Management duties for the overall contract


• Oversee contracts with sub-consultants and service vendors


• Continue to develop, implement, and assess the Program’s Marketing Plan and Work Plan


• Develop and lead creative promotional and marketing campaigns working with marketing professionals, including website updates and other graphic design elements


• Implement creative and effective promotional events that will generate interest and educate others about the Program


• Review and oversee Google Analytics, Client Relationship Management (CRM) reports, and social media accounts


• Develop and facilitate transportation plans for individual work sites and school sites


• Oversee a regional rideshare/ridematch database and a potential transition to new ridematch software/vendor


• Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, organizations, and stakeholders across 12 counties

Applicant Requirements:

• Be located in the Southwest Florida region or able to relocate as needed


• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required


• Be a dynamic presenter and public speaker


• Able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced setting


• Experience supervising and leading a team


• Effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel


• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral


• Ability to identify and work with partners to achieve the Program’s desired mission
