Your Responsibilities

As aScrum Masterfor John Deere, located in Ames, IA you willserve as the "servant leader" of The Vulnerability Management scrum team by removing impediments and helping the team remain successful and on schedule. In addition, you will:


  • Drive tactical team-level improvement as part of the scrum process
  • Understand Global IT Security strategy, objectives and technology to ensure Vulnerability Management work is prioritized by stakeholder value, work is aligned with objectives and help the team overcome roadblocks
  • Drive the maturation of the Vulnerability Management Program by managing large portfolio items and continuous improvement tasks
  • Track and assign operational support tasks, such as scans and vulnerability assignments, and develop\maintain metrics for tracking the Team's performance
  • Assist in developing and maintaining metrics for reporting Vulnerability status to IT Leadership.
  • Provide coaching to Part Time Students and EDPs
  • Manage one scrum team; facilitate efforts of large and complex features that may involve integrating the work of multiple teams

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences


  • Proven ability & technical knowledge to coordinate & deliver technical solutions
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
  • Understanding of the technologies & architecture of the product area
  • Possesses familiarity with multiple technologies, development methods and systems, and a basic understanding of programming languages
  • Recognized Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Coach

  • Proven ability to coach and develop others
  • Proven ability to remove roadblocks (technical & business) for teams
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders

  • Ability to plan and execute deployment activities at the team level

Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology discipline
