Job Description:
Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize cloud usage to reduce cost. For an on-premises implementation, an application owner allocates resources to support the largest transaction day. In a cloud implementation, an application owner needs to only allocated resources for its ‘smallest’ day and expand up for transactional peek and then reduce again. This will be a new mind set for application owners, and it is crucial to keep costs down (you pay for what you allocate).This prominent function requires constant partnership with leaders across all business units to share their analysis and their devised solutions for the application to implement. Additionally, some workloads will be candidates to be refactored into a serverless implementation. This role is a part of a team that will tactically do constant recurring analysis as well as interface with application owners and their leadership of their recommendations.
This position requires diverse technical background, constant self-learning, innovative thinking, ability to devise solutions from analysis, and superb interpersonal skills. Position also requires deep technical knowledge.
Education: Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically requires 5-8 years experience.
