The Oakfield USG Papermill is searching for Production Operators.

The Oakfield Paper Mill began operations in 1926, producing paper for gypsum wallboard from 100% recycled content.  

Duties of a Production Operator:


  1. Band and label finished rolls.  

  2. Perform basic paper quality testing.

  3. Become familiar with wastepaper furnish grades and use.

  4. Assist with finish product loading, inspection of rolls, and quality checks of finished loads.  

  5. Become familiar with the safe operation of a fork truck.

  6. Become familiar with the basic Paper Machine DCS operating system and controls.

  7. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Shift Foreman or Supervisor.


  8. Must be able to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

 


  1. Able to follow safety procedures and take directions from supervision.  

  2. Ability to use measuring tools required (tape measure, gauges, etc.).

  3. Past manufacturing experience a plus.

  4. Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with occasional mandatory overtime.
