Overview: 
Edelman Data & Intelligence (DxI) is seeking a Presentation Designer to join our in-house global marketing team. This candidate must exhibit a passion for brand consistency, presentation design, and the creative process – as well as an excitement to help us tell our story. A strong work ethic, flexibility, agility, and the ability to work under pressure are absolutely necessary for this role.
 



The ideal candidate will create, advocate for and advance PowerPoint and other presentation design solutions for new business development, as well as support up leveling the firm’s creative collateral for a variety of assignments including client work and presentations, internal and external marketing, as well as web, digital, graphic and social media design. 


This is a position for an information designer who has an eye for creating compelling visual narratives to accompany complex and detail-oriented concepts, research, and analytics. You’ll need to be comfortable behind the computer, as you will ideating with internal account teams who will be based in various offices around the world who manage their clients directly. 


You’ll work as part of a team, and as an individual, using your knowledge and skills to translate content into effective graphics and design with the ultimate goal of creating winning presentations.
 



This role will be based in Rochester, New York and/or Dallas, Texas, and will report into our Global Head of Communications, Brand and Marketing who manages our creative resources globally. You will have mentorship from presentation design, graphic design, and marketing experts. 


Responsibilities: 


  • Create visually stunning presentations by customizing new business proposals, final deliverables, and other materials (infographics, posters, etc.) from account teams 

  • Design and update internal and external presentations to align with our brand/style guidelines 

  • Transform complex, copy-heavy slides into digestible pieces of content while retaining the core message 

  • Manage design cleanup work as well as being able to breathe new life into ordinary designs
    Wow us with your technical “know-how” and PowerPoint expertise 

  • Take direction and run with it; accept feedback graciously

Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic or information design or related field
    Minimum of 1 year graphic & information design experience (college experience is applicable) with a knowledge of agency or company brand related work. 

  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills.  

  • Professional knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required
    Excellent experiencing in selecting and working with stock photos for creative presentation use 

  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • An eye for color, composition, photography, and typography
    Strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Proven ability to shift gears, adapt to different brands/aesthetics, and to work quickly to meet deadlines 

  • Flexibility in day-to-day schedule to support design work 

  • Print knowledge, as well as experience in Keynote and Prezi, are all a plus
