Responsibilities

The position is responsible for leading the preparation of project proposal material and other written documentation in a timely manner for Robotics and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR’s).

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for producing formal Dematic proposals or pertinent proposal sections, as assigned.

  • Working alongside other individuals in document creation, editing, and finalization.

  • Create training and standard work documents regarding proposals and boiler plate standards.

  • Develops and documents the data needed to generate a proposal document with accuracy.

  • Responsible for monitoring proposal content for Dematic standards compliance, as assigned.

  • Responsible for coordinating and compiling quote data in the proposal documents from service groups, as assigned.

  • Responsible for monitoring the proposal schedule and alerting Sales, Solution Development, and other teammates of missing information for proposal completion.

  • Initiates reviews with stakeholders and adjusts proposal content as needed.

  • Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of Dematic proposal boiler plates, as assigned.

  • Conduct global training sessions covering specified areas such as sales proposal standards, etc.

  • Consult with direct & indirect management within Global Products and Solutions organization.

  • Participates in the improvement of procedures, quality, and performance.


Qualifications

Job Family Responsibilities:

Assists with maintaining Product Management and Solution Development contact, providing basic technical document assistance, as required. Assists in the preparation of offers, bids, contracts and other sales-related documents required by customers for Dematic products/services/solutions. Understands basic pricing and bid strategies. Understands regulating authorities, code requirements, and other industry-specific factors.

Additional Responsibilities:

Performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others. Identifies problems, as they occur, and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.

 

Qualifications:


  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred

  • Up to 2 years of successful experience in related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities with various deadlines simultaneously

  • Reliably forecast and report out on proposal status


  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principles and skills. Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and other office-related programs (Excel, Acrobat, etc.), copy editing, proofreading skills, and MS Office tools.

Key Working Relationships:

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager, other Proposal Specialists, other inter-department colleagues, Robotics and AMR key contacts, Product Management team members, Solution Development team members, and Account Managers.
