As an Associate Sourcing Manager, you would be responsible for partnering with the Global Sourcing Manager to coordinate the product management of programs including time and action calendars, cost and cost negotiations, and vendor communication. Main priorities will include specific business category/line responsibility, program negotiation, and driving resolution to development and production related issues.
Determine vendor and mill allocation strategy with your leader
Negotiate and analyze costing based on corporate cost direction
Serve as the main interface between the supply chain and Merchants / Planners and Design
Assist with assessment and analyzing vendor capacities along with projections and secure allocation strategies with leader
Identify product development needs and request fabric qualities
Prepare and send accurate and complete product specifications to vendors
Track and approve all pre-production samples while meeting production deadlines
Maintain all product packaging and labeling in PLM system
Essential Skills
Bachelor degree and prior experience in product development and technical design. Experience in home category a plus.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in similar role including product manager or sourcing.
Strong negotiating skills required.
Strong analytical skills as well as interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and work independently
Proven experience in developing long-term relationships and negotiating strategic agreements to ensure constant cost and quality improvements.
Strong PC skills with working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and Business Objects.
Knowledge of home construction and production an asset.
